It was announced on May 18, 2016 that Nao, who was six months pregnant, was having her second child. On September 8, she was admitted to the hospital and gave birth at 11:44 am to a girl.
Originally, the band had planned two more Jigokuezu shows and the Soundwave Festival 2010 in Australia–especially the latter, since it would have been during the “stable period” of Nao’s pregnancy, but these were cancelled because of Nao’s complications. They apologized to MTH and all promoters for inviting them to this show, but stated that they would give their best efforts to ensure the health and well-being of the baby and mother. After giving birth, Nao resumed drumming and has since recovered.
